    Hi
Quick question on frost stat connection , wiring diagram shows connect neutral to terminal 4 if load is under a certain wattage to activate shunt actuator, what exactly is this and is the neutral connection necessary

It is advisable to connect a neutral to terminal 4.

It will work without it but, AFAIK it works more accurately with the neutral connection.

A shunt actuator allows power to be supplied to the sunvic device.
As the device sits in series with the load, it takes it's power through the load, so if there is insufficient current to drive the sunvic, it can't function.
The shunt takes the power from the live instead of through the load.
