    Hi Guys
So i am about to change from my 2005 BMW 118D to a newer car,

i have about 12k to spend and so far i have the following 2 choices

    2006 BMW 318i SE

    Or

    2008 Citroen 1.6 HDI Dynamique

pro and cons for both but so far i have

    BMW is a BMW
Citroen is a diesel and year is 2008 so lower tax by a mile,
    Both have decent kit
Citroen has high mileage for year

BMW Tax is 614 for the year, same as i am paying now
Citroen is 304 50% saving pretty much

any reason i should go with either? my milage is 42k a day = 1000k a month approx, no massive so diesel would be a saving but minor i think?

    any thoughts out there?

    cheers

Seems to me your current car is better than both options there, so why pay 12k to downgrade?

For engine reliability I'd have the Citroen but for overall reliability and long term maintenance I wouldn't consider either.
