I'm wondering where I could find a silver pocket watch chain with an Albert (fob not necessary). Links should be hallmarked, possibly 12" ?

    Many thanks.

Alan, while we appreciate the advice you are giving in general, as has been mentioned in the past, no soliciting for work.

edit: Charter updated to clarify boards stance on soliciting.

this isnt looking for work, we dont sell items like that but we do buy spares from a company that i know does stock them. i wouldnt have offered if someone else had another suggestion.

I would suggest keeping an eye out at antique shops and bric-a-brac stalls; they're not hard to find. I have a silver full albert and I think it took me no more than a week to find one at a price I was happy with. The scrap value of silver is not significant at the moment. Pawn brokers may be another place to check.

In Dublin there is a place called Johnston's Court Vintage Emporium which is opposite the Powerscourt Townhouse and next door to Magills deli. I'm sure they would have several and their prices are usually keen.

    Thanks all,

I had a look on ebay and the prices seemed excessive to me, will keep an eye out elsewhere and will have a look at your suggestion CarltonBrowne, appreciate it.
