I think this is a thread that could benefit a lot of people tbh. This is supposed to be very effective for sinus congestion and inflammatory problems. Can a version of it be purchased otc in Irish chemists?

Here are the ingredients for the product Sinus Buster, the primary makers of this spray:
Active Ingredients: Capsicum 3x (capsaicin), Eucalyptus globulus TINC (eucalyptol) Inactive Ingredients: Ascorbic Acid (Crystallized Vitamin C), Purified Water, Rosemary Extract, Sea Salt, Vegetable Glycerin

    Looks quite do-able homemade too!

I can't comment on it wrt rhinitis, however several years ago, when I was in the throes of decision making wrt Prostate Cancer, Capsicum was being promoted as the new natural killer of Prostate Cancer. It was too late for me, but I took it anyway.

It turned out that most of the promotion on the web originally emanated for one source ...a major producer!:eek::mad:

Tbh, I reckon this is going to be an irritant, rather than alleviating rhinitis....but then I'm familiar only with the PCa aspect.

ok, sounds like you got messed around with bogus info there while seeking help with something serious. - sorry to hear that, and thanks for swift reply with the info.

Guys, you're discussing a three year old thread, but what the hell, I'll bite!

The "3x" part of the Capsicum element of the ingredients means that it's a homeopathic preparation. Therefore it's based on complete and utter bull**** anti-medicine.

I use it in cream form for parasthesia associated with MS and it works well. It is like Deep Heat. I would imagine a spray would aid breathing through the nose in the same way eating spicy food does.
