Does anyone know of a good flat 10k race in Feb/Mar?

    Thanks in advance.

There's a 10k in Wexford next weekend...thinking of doing this one myself.

xebec or OI might be able to give you tips on whether it's flat or not. If you can escape on a Saturday that is! :pac:

Only assuming the route that they're going to take but can say that there is not single hill. The road runs alongside the River Slaney

Should I be ashamed to admit I had to look up where Ballycarney is?! I don't know much about the area, but it's near enough to The Wexican's turf so blame him if it's full of hills! Seems like excellent value for money and the Porters are the people who organised the Enniscorthy half so wouldn't expect any issues around organisation etc.

On a related '10' note, i see that Mallow's 10 miler is going to be on Sunday 27 March.

Isn't there a 10k round Leopardstown racecourse (on the service roads) in March or is that May? I saw it on Runireland i think last year.

    Hi There,
10k in Dungarvan i think around end of Feb, IMHO a BP course and always a good field, Dont no if you want to travel that far, But would be worth the trip

    Regards

Add hills to your workouts and then you will get a PB regardless of the elevation profile of the course.

There is one in Dungaravan @ 2pm on 27th Feb, do not know how flat but wining time last year was sub a 31

Urban City have a 10.5k in March in Marlay Park, mainly flat by all accounts but on a trail/path kind of surface.

Dungarvan sounds like a good one though, but i would say that wouldn't i:D

Thanks Ger, I've two hills on the 10k route I train on, 200m long and 50/60m high, it's a railway overpass and I go over it once on the out and once coming back.

Excellent try repeating it in some runs at pace, its tough but well worth the effort

    Careful there!

Amadeus had the audacity to suggest that he might do the Faroe Is marathon (I think) because he thought that he might be in with a chance of winning it.
    Came in for savage criticism.
