    Folks,

My 07 1.8TDCi zetec company mondeo has 160,000Km on the clock and has just gone to a good trusted indy for a major service and a change of timing belt. I keep reading that the new shape can have 2 timing belts, or 2 timing chains, or a belt and chain combo and often different in cars of the same year. But when we stuck our heads in the engine bay all we saw was one timing belt.

Can anyone confirm what this car gets in terms of timing belt chain combo. For any Ford techies it is 07KE10080 to get engine code.

I posted this here instead of main forum as my reg is in the post.

    Thanks

Theres no way of telling I heard. When they strip it down for the belt you can either see a chain or a belt at the pump pulley. They brought the 2 belt system out in 2007:(
At least your aware of it anyway.
