Can someone help me with iPod problem?

    Hi, I hope someone can help me with my problem :(

    I recently got a new iPod classic, and I can't sync it on iTunes, the 'Sync songs on iPod' option is greyed out. It's wrecking my head because I want to wipe the iPod so I can start over with Media Monkey because for some reason every song is on there 2 or 3 times, and I generally just find iTunes kind of annoying :( Does anyone know how I might be able to wipe my iPod clean, or why the option to sync is greyed out?
