Samsung NC10 whiteout

I have a Samsung NC10 for about 18 months now and it suffers from white screen, I have to keep adjusting the angle of the screen to get the screen back.

The problem is not too bad when I use it with the battery but with the power plug I get a lot of white screen and have to be constantly adjusting the screen back and forward to get picture back.

Apart from that I like it but it can be a real pain in the ass.

Any ideas on what the problem is likely to be. I think I paid €300 for it but not sure is it worth repairing.

This is happening to my parents machine at the minute, have't got around to sorting it. But i think it's down to the connection between the screen and the mother board becoming loose. It's a DIY job really, but it does involve taking apart the netbook.

Thannks for the reply.I think your right. Strange that it happens a lot more when using the power plug compared to the battery. I need to get it sorted as apart from that I find it very handy especially when travelling.

Unfortunately its quite common on the nc10's.. I have the same problem

I have decreased my brightness down to its lowest level, this helps, but yeah I have to keep adjusting the tilt - I upped the 'gamma' in the display settings and it is bright enough

To actually fix the problem - well, its hands-on, look on ebay for nc10 lcd cable, they are there but quite expensive, however you might find one for 20 or 30 euros - then look on youtube for how to change the cable

Seems to be alright Jonny7. Just wish I sent it back while it was under warranty.
