You never know with the guy. he's usually more miss, than hit, but new year, new season, and all that. He improved a bit last year at least, more than in recent seasons anyway and he seems determined to try and get the win this year. Most will say waste of money backing him, and they'd probably be right, but im gonna stick e2 ew on him. Tiny bit of form in this tournament as well, he has shot some low rounds around here in the past. :D

Complete opposite of last week in terms of the course. This week, look to experience and good ball strikers with calm heads. Ernie Els is the outstanding favourite here in my book.

I read in the racingpost today that only 30k winds at the most are now predicted, it was enough to put me off him this time. I just backed Furyk at 12s

Chad Campbell (50/1) looks an outstanding pick

Campbell's a golfer that loves bermuda greens, windy conditions and he has a very good record at Waialae. He's shot some really low rounds on this course (62 & 64) and his average score is just under 69. Historically, January is a good month playing wise for Campbell so expect a good performance :)

The best bet is for Campbell to finish in the top 10 (11/2). He's had 22 top 10 finishes on bermuda-style greens

Stricker and Rose for myself, Stricker likes this leg of the tour and was in contention last week, Rose also made a very encouraging return last week for someone who seems to be over hes injury problems he is overpriced @ 32 on betfair, gl to all having a bet!

The nerves have taken hold of drysdale, as he continues to plummit down the leaderboard. +5 today so far! So! who we backing for the final 36 holes at hawaii? im thinking of putting E5 on AK at 33/1???????????? -5 under so far, 5 shots off the pace!

I backed Appleby at the start of play yesterday @ 12-1. Simply because on the first day when he shot -6 he actually left a lot of birdies out there. Same happened yesterday. I also found his twitter post interesting
If I win this week I'll have been a good bet for some.
I was at 20/1 for Australian Masters and bumped in a guy after I won that had dropped a nice $200 on me at start of week. I hope I can make many people something on the side.

havn't had a bet in the golf in a while as it's kinda silly season,i'm doing Chad Campbell @25/1 e/w as they're still paying 4 places,he's 1st in greens hit this week so far,so it's the usual problem with d'owl flat stick

Drysdale +6 to finish with! What a fcuking disaster of a round! Roll on appleby(fingers crossed)

I think we can forget about it. He's missed 6ft for par and 4 foot for birdie. If it wasn't for the putting he'd win in a canter.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭abouttobebanned

And then he plays a, frankly, amazing shot from the bunker on the par 5 9th and gets an eagle. One of the best shots I've ever seen.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,943 ✭✭✭abouttobebanned

and then misses another 6 footer for birdie. These are the ones he was leaving behind the last two days and he's doing it again now. Needs to be sinking those.
