Huge blow for them, he is a real star of the future. He gives them so much forward momentum.

That's Lawes missing all of the Six Nations and Attwood missing most of it through suspension. Not good news for England.

And the good news for the rest of us is that it means the return of Borthwick :)

Dunno about that. He seems to have been jettisoned completly.

Palmer and Shaw will start for them IMO.

Yeah probably with Deacon on the bench. Still I can dream. And with Croft out he may want to go for another lineout option...

From a neutrals point of view its a shame as he's a fun player to watch. From an Irish point of view I'm chuffed to be honest.

Shaw can't get the nod, even MJ has to admit he's past it and they need to create some sort of depth for the WC.

Lawes is a good athlete and thats the direction England seem to be going but against South Africa they were bullied all over the place. They couldn't get out of their own half.

I put that down to the english being ...meh. i mean croft, moody and easter just isnt that big a unit. i mean the only backrow row that has less bite would be ryan jones,an aged martyn williams and andy powell.

Is getting to that time again when the injuries seem to pile up, Lawes for Eng, Jenkins for Wales and possibly Murphy and Kearney for Ireland just as an example and am sure there will be more in coming weeks.
Its getting more and more vital to have a strong squad depth just to keep up with injuries apart from anything else
