i may have posted this before, but has anyone on here got any experience of waste oil burners

i have a real buzz at the minute trying to heat my house correctly next winter.
i am currently looking at various options

    waste oil burner
    aga solid fuel cooker
    stanley erin stove
    solar panels

it currently takes 100euro per week to heat my house to a fairly good heat, but nothing special.

it is 2600 ft2 timber frame storey and 1/2 poorly insulated. i have been told that there is nothing i can do about the insulation in the walls. i intend putting in more loft insulation in the summer

any help on any of these points please

Is there some reason you cannot apply external insulation or internal insulated plasterboard slabs?? If there was any way of adding to the insulation, this is where I would be starting.

Also, why wait till summer ot add to the attic insulation? It's a hateful job at the best of times but is more tolerable this tim of year in my opinion. No place worse on a sunny day in summer than in an attic!!
