    Hi Guys,

Am doing first VAT return where I've sold goods, all previous ones were only goods received.

When it asks for the "Value of Goods sent to other EU Countries" what specifically is that.

Let's say my customer bought something online from me for €10 (Vat of €1.74 included) and €1.90 postage

What is the value of goods as per this sale?

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hi,

It really depends on a couple of factors. Are you selling to another vat registered customer in the EU ?

The box "E1" on your vat return is where you declare any sales to another Vat Registered business in another EU country and don't charge them vat. The responsiblity falls to them to operate the reverse charge for Vat.

If you are selling to a non-registered person in the EU, you charge Irish Vat so you don't put any value in "E1"

    Hope this makes sense.

    Regards

    Aidan
