Not sure if this is the right place to be posting this but anyway. Theres a family i know who are carrying out alot of this. For a start the mother is charging rent for the ones over 18 to stay in the house theres 5 of them and she charging between 30 and 50 euro a week(a nice bit to be made out of it) but isn't paying tax on it. Also two other daughters are on the socil welfare because they say they cant work because they cant effored child minders despite being out drinking 2 3 times a week. I only have there names and the area they live but not the addresses, is there anyway of finding them out or would just the name and the area be enough?

In tax terms there's nothing wrong with members of a family sharing the costs of running a home.

Am I missing something here, is it not the norm for a mother of grown adults to be entitled to recover some of lodging monies from her children? You seem to suggest when you say making a nice bit from this that she is on some type scam:confused:. I would think that you would be seeing them more often in the pub had she not decided to charge them for their keep.

    Closed for obvious reasons.

Love thy neighbour but failing that this is not tax fraud.
