Hi all, i have a question im hoping you can help me with, im average to good on PC’s usually, just havent uploaded VHS tapes to a PC before so not sure of what it involves. I was looking on Amazon etc at what you can buy to help you and not sure if thats the way to go about it or not.

Can somebody explain what this will involve if i want to convert a VHS tape to my PC and what exactly i may need, best package or equipment etc.

    Any help is appreciated,

Assuming you have a VCR player and a DVD player/recorder attached to your telly. Record from one to the other. Easy.

Sorry im new to the whole copying from VHS to DVD player / recorder thing, my PC is upstairs, but downstairs is a DVD player (not sure if its a recorder but will check later) and the VHS player, both connected to the TV.

So i can play the VHS and record it onto a DVD straight from there? Or am i being stupid and missing something? Does it have to be a DVD recorder? Another stupid question probably haha

I recorded some vcr tapes to computer last year.
I used a device called 'dazzle' which I think connected to the rgb outputs on my vcr player and then to the usb port of my computer.
Depending on your vcr player it may work. Go read up on it to find the correct product for you:
