Marriage Licence

    Hi,

Got married a few months ago and one thing led to another and we forgot to go in to get our Marriage Licence (the one you have to bring the cert in within a month of the wedding), now herself is kinda worried over this (admittedly serious) mistake and I was wondering does anyone know what the situation is? having to go through it all again and have a civil wedding or something wouldn't be a disaster but is far far from Ideal.

Thanks a million for any and all help.

    Martin.

Its supposed to be returned within 1 month of the ceremony. The best thing to do is phone the registrars office and ask them what to do.

I might be wrong but I think i remember the registrar saying that you could bring it back later and it would work out fine in the end.
But just to be on the safe side bring it back within the month.
So hoepfully you will be fine.
