    Chinguetti v's Menoscemo 1 available now on Bluray in 3D, for the second installment in the series stay tuned to the Raheny 5 mile where the gloves are off, the challenge has been laid down and by God whoever doesn't win will die trying.

    So.....who's it gonna be?

    Can't be many of the fast runners left for you to challenge at this stage! How much money is on this one?

    My odds;

    4/7 Menoscemo
    7/4 Chinguetti

    If this race was ran last August, ching would win comfortably based on his Frank Duffy run. However things have changed since. Meno has stepped it up, while ching was off most of Nov after the pre DCM van incident. Meno by 20 seconds i'd say.

    *getting excuses in early*
    I'll be doing a 20 miler the day before the race. Also Chinguetti ran 20.25 on a long course based off absolutely no training in the Tom Brennan 5k on New Years day.
    That said if the sneaky fecker stays behind all race, comes from nowhere and tries to sneakily overtake me 100m before the finish line again, I will teach him a lesson once more.

    I'm not clear :confused:
    is the battle the race or the pub afterwards?

    My excuse is well, that i'm not going to do much running this year as i'm going to learn (or try) how to swim properly. Also i never do speed work so my money's on Meno. 20 miles or no miles.

    4/7 is good odds and i'ld nearly bet against myself. He'll easily break 1.35 (i'm guessing 1.33) on Saturday for a half in Waterford so he'll be 1/3 this time next week or worse. Meno by 30 seconds at least.

    That is morning to me these days. Do keep up!

    Leeds better have the late kick off that day in the FA Cup.

    Brian, your odds were all wrong.
    Despite putting in a 250 mile month, while chinguetti barely moved his arse, he still beat me by over a minute. I took almost a minute off my PB, so it's not like I had a bad race. The funny thing is I never saw him pass me, I was looking over my shoulder all down the finishing straight and never saw him. The he greeted me after I corssed the line. Turns out we were running together between mile 2-3 but never copped on!
    Anyway, Well done big bro :pac:

    Looking at your mile splits, i must have passed you soon after the 2 mile marker as i did splits of 6.30, 6.13, 6.17, 6.22 and 6.19 from my memory. I picked up the Bray guys after 2 miles or so and they were in a group of 4 or 5. Can't remember seeing you as i would have said hello.

    I ran about 4 miles this week before today so i'm as surprised as you, brother. Been doing little running as trying to learn how to swim and spent the last couple of weeks searching for a car. Knocked 50 secs off my PB (new pb 31.41) with no training. I think all my training for the last two years was over done, less seems to be more for me.

    I think with all your miles in the last few months, you will get your revenge over the longer distance as Waterford would prove. Mallow will be yours.

    Bookies get it wrong sometimes you know :pac: So is this thread gonna continue with the Mallow 10 duel. :p

    Mallow 10 mile odds;

    Chinguetti - 4/5
    Menoscemo - 5/4

    Ching's gotta be the fav next time, after the spanking he dished out today :D
