i was there for a few days in '08.. it's an amazing city, really fun and with this great vibe that's like they mixed the best of the states with the best of europe...

i highly recommend sneaky dee's for food, it's a wicked fun dive bar that does incredible mexican and sooo super cheap!!

go up the CN tower, the glass floor is so scary! if you can manage to take a trip to Niagara you wont regret it, we took a day tour and it was brilliant..

there is this mad store in the middle of town called honest ed's...worth a look!

Lived there for 6 months a few years back. Nice city got some great mix of food from all cultures. CN Tower is a must visit as is the Old Spaghetti Factory! Food there is yum.
Kensington Market is good as is Little Italy (where I lived) and Greektown. Easy to get around with Street Cars (trams) and Subway. The PATH (underground walkway) is handy for those bitterly cold days. When I was there it got down to -30 wind chill though seriously doubt it will get that bad in April! Worth it to go on a trip to Niagara which is a 90min drive away (You can catch a bus from the central bus station) Yonge St has plenty of shops all the way up to Bloor St where the more exclusive shops are located. Eaton Centre is a shopping centre not too far from Toronto City Hall and just off Yonge St. Duno what it's like now but stay away from Moss Park or anywhere East of Jarvis St between Dundas E and Front St E.

Toronto is a pretty cool city.

"The Horseshoe Tavern" on Queen St/Spadina is pretty decent. Usually live music on and beer is cheap enough.

There's a few bars on Bloor St worth going to, the Dance Cave I think was one that played good music, stuff like The Cure, Clash, The Who (at least when we were there)

Hooters on John St is very expensive, but addictively tasty, or maybe just addictive! Not a place to stay for the night, but a place to get food before heading out. Plus, they'll play any and all sports if you're looking for your fix (not to mention a few good looking gals ;))

I'll second what someone said about Kensington. that place was good for getting a cheap feed! Used to get breakfast from a place there that was excellent. The name escapes me though...
