HEad and eye pain after extraction

I My dp had a top molar extracted a week ago. Since Monday or Tuesday he has been having pain in his temple on the side of th extraction. This is on and off butquite sore when it is happening. Since yesterday, this pain is also going into his eyeball, on the same side. He didnt take the antibiotics he was given but started…

Is this pain associated with the extraction? Is it an infection or is this common?

He will ring the dentist tomorrow.
