Went to Santander at the end of October. Flew Ryanair and stayed in 4 star hotel for three nights. Under €250 for two of us. Very nice place, very spanish (of course). Lovely beaches and lots of shopping.

Year before flew to Rodez in France (Ryanair again). Flights and hotel for €140 for two nights. Not too much to see but food good and shopping very good. (I see a pattern here).

    Hope this helps
