    Hi,

I have a 4 year old who has special needs, he is non verbal and non mobile. He uses a special needs buggy, and also uses a walker. We are considering going to France on holidays this coming summer. We would like to travel down to one of the sites near to La Rochelle or a similar area down the west coast. We would like to stay in one of the camping sites, as there would be plenty of swimming pools and activities that our son would enjoy. We know that some of the sites have bungalows/apts, more of them have mobile homes. We ideally need for our son to use his walker in the accomodation we are staying in. Also it would be good if there was a suitable open space with a smooth tarmac surface nearby, and he could use his walker there also. I would like to hear from anyone who has experience of going to these sites or possibly has travelled to france with a special needs child.

    Many Thanks,

    Martin and Lorraine.

You may be better to ask on Tripadvisor which has dedicated fora for most regions of France (and the rest of the world!) with local knowledge too.
