Is it possible to root & flash a sim-locked Android phone?
If so does it also remove the sim-lock?

Yip. Completely possible. Won't remove the sim lock though. Have a look on xda developers for your device and chances are you'll find how to root it.

Oh I know how to root a device just haven't done it with a sim-locked one and just wanted to double-check.
Is it possible/easy to remove a sim-lock from a HTC Desire locked to Three?

Are you certain it's locked? I've heard a lot of the smart phones aren't.
