Ugh, it's enough to make you sick. Came across this today on IMDB
    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1560489/combined
It's a movie about a boy wizard named Harry Potter. I find this really cheeky that a stupid low grade horror movie would take to ripping off something as well known as Harry Potter.I hope they get sued into oblivion.
This is one reason I hate horror movies, always pulling cheap stunts like this.

it says it's a remake of the 1986 film of the same name?

Were the Harry Potter books even written then? :S

It's not actually an Asylum movie, it's a crowd called Magical Media Industries. Asylum actually started off half decent with the best version of War of the Worlds (for fans of the novel and musical) in a year where three were on offer. Also Snakes On A Train knew exactly what it was and did it well!

This is in fact a remake of the original Troll from 1986 is being remade by the same director as the original and indeed in the original the lead was a young boy called Harry Potter Jr. The producer of the original, the great Charles Band, had this to say:

"there are certain scenes in Troll, not to mention the name of the main character, and this of course predates the Harry Potter books by many, many years. So there's that strange connection."

Yet again op, you post absolute rubbish with no basis in fact other than your fevered imagination. You really do need to do some reasearch before you get all high and mighty.

The film Troll which is being released in 2012 is a remake of the rather fun 1984 film of the same name. The director of the original film John Carl Buechler is directing the remake and it's quite sad that the studio behind the Harry Potter film are considering trying to force him to change the main characters name.

Troll is perhaps most famous for it;s sequel Troll 2, widely regarded as being the worst best film something which was celebrated in the excellent documentary Best Worst Movie.

Rereading the original post and it's obvious that the poster is just trolling. Pretty much every thread he creates on this forum is about how much he loves horror films yet he states this in his post "This is one reason I hate horror movies, always pulling cheap stunts like this."

Well said Darko. I'll add that the director, John Carl Buechler, is up there with the very best when it comes to practical make-up effects. If you call yourself a horror fan OP, you'd know this. Show some respect.

They should at least get some cudos for inventing the time machine first in fairness.

ive always believed that JR Rowling got the idea from this film, i mean when you think about it, its a magical kind of film with a boy named Harry Potter, granted he isn’t really the main character and isn’t a wizard or anything…

    coincidence…?

OP continues his impressive track record of fail.

The title of the movie is brilliantly ironic given the op though :D
