    hi,

    Did you try a google search as there are several Girardet artists listed?

    Theres a website called artnet.com which archives huge quantitys of painting sold in auction around the world.
    It is a subscription site , but freely gives you a limited amount of info , in fact everything apart from the value .

    So I had a look , and although there are many with that name , there dosent seem to be a match for your artist .

    thanks for the website w/d i will take a look tonight,but i would say it will remain a mystery, shame because its my favorite though.
