New Traffic Lights in Howth??

Went for a spin out to Howth today. Some tailwind on the way out. Anyway, was going down the hill into the village and there was a set of lights in a really bad spot (from a cyclists point of view) I thought. Luckily they were green for me. Road was wet so I would have struggled to stop quickly if lights were red and car was exiting minor road.

Does anyone know the lights I'm talking about. They're located on Thormanby Rd/Asgard Rd intersection. Just don't remember them being there last yr.

Some struggle getting back home against the wind. Good resistance training I guess. Nice few cyclists out today which is good. Wish people wouldn't walk in the cycling lane though. Nearly witnessed an accident today when a pedestrian was moving out of my way and cyclists were approaching from rear.

I noticed those lights last weekend and couldn't remember them being there before either, but I don't come down that way often. They are in a very odd place. Luckily I'm a nervous descender so keep it slow and steady down that hill.

I'm at the point of giving up on the route back in and am tempted to just stay on the road. Hit a dog last year and have found cyclists in the wrong lane refusing to move too.
