I have replaced the windscreen washer fuse twice, over a period of several months on a 02 Opel Corsa 1.2 but wonder why it might have blown. It isn't a direct short, as it worked for quite some time before blowing again. The original fuse is a 10 amp and I'm wondering if it is too lightly rated. Can anyone confirm what the correct amperage should be. For what its worth, the fuse is located beneath the small matchbox sized cover inside the main fuse box in the engine compartment and is on the extreme right, next to another 10 amp fuse.

    Many thanks.

Water gotten into the washer motor maybe?

The most common cause of a washer fuse blowing is during cold weather when the water freezes and the pump can't operate, the fuse usually blows rather then let the pump burn out.
