Hi all, I'm looking at where to get a 32GB micro sd card for a HTC Desire. I've checked in Harvey Normans, Carphone Warehouse, Vodafone, Meteor, O2, Argos and PC World and no joy, all 16GB.

And how much are they retailing for? It would cost me €94 online on Expansys but I'd prefer to try and buy it in a store if possible. Thanks for any help.

Buying it in a store would be fairly difficult as 32GB cards are quite rare even online.

How much are the 16gig ones in the shops mentioned above anyway? Is there a general average price range?

Pardon my ignorance, but what would be the difference between some of the 'fake' ebay memory cards and a genuine sandisk/maxwell/etc memory card?

Would they not be as reliable or slower than the real deal?

When it arrives it probably won't be what you ordered. Even though the card says 32gb class 6 it could well be a class 2 card and not actually 32gb. Tbh I wouldn't buy anything bigger than a 2gb card off ebay. You're best off paying a bit more and buying from mymemory, amazon etc as at least you know it will be genuine.

Your better of going for a 16GB. Class 4 at worst if you favor less lag .

I got mine on ebay last year for around 50 quid i think. Didnt go near the 32GB cause after some research i found out that a decent ones cost a bomb. And ebay only had cheap fakes

Could certainly be slower, and possibly not rated for as many read/write cycles as the genuine article. I'd agree with others advising to stick with 16Gb cards for now, brand name 32Gb cards still just too pricey at the moment for my money.

In all fairness now, the man only wants a card for his phone, Its not like it will be used in the guidance system for the space shuttle or anything like that.

Peats in Dublin stock them, although they were out of them the other day when I went in to get one. I was told they'd have them by the middle of this week.

Prob your best bet would be to get it online. Problem is, there are many sellers out there selling knockoff MicroSDHC cards :(
The only online retailer in Ireland I would buy from would be MemoryC.com

Yea can get a Class4 32gb MicroSDHC card from them for about 68euro posted. Usually gets delivered next day.

From the Peats website, looks like they are selling a Class2 32gb MicroSDHC card for 89euro - bit pricey for a low class micro SDHC card

    Hi folks,
I tried a 32gb card from ebay which seemed to work at first but seemed to loose data and transfer rate was realy slow.

So purchased a 16gb card from an irish seller on ebay which works a treat.
I think it was 20 - 30 quid but well worth it.

This is the seller i got t from: http://stores.ebay.ie/memory2

    24gb samsung now :D

I got a 32gb microsd in peats on parnell street. Works fine with tablet for storage. Not using it to save stuff like camcorder/camera so the "class" doesn't matter. Cost e90 incl vat.
