    I'd like to but never played civ 4 online...hell I dont know if I have the latest version or not, never got any of the add on packs or nothing.

    So i'd have the floor wiped with me quite quickly probably.

    But if you are willing to have a noob tag along (and probably use as a puppet state :D) and can bare my constent questions I might sign up.

    I wouldn't worry about not having played it online before, alliances tend to play a big part in pbem games so it rarely a case you're on your own.

    We're all using Beyond the Sword, but I doubt its a deal breaker if you don't have it.

    Patches are 1.74 for civ and 3.19 for bots

    The next big Civ 5 patch will be a massive fix for the multiplayer and also add in Hotseat mode.

    That hasn't been confirmed at all to my knowledge. I'd love if it were true though, and soon.
