    when you save photos on the ps3 can you play music along with them when viewing them

    isn't there an application you can download from PSN store that allows you to play around with your photos that you have on the ps3. Through this you can make a slideshow and add music, if thats what you're after.

    Its called photo gallery or something

    Yes you can. Download the photogallery thingamajig and you can select slideshow speeds/effects etc. You can also assign tunes to each slide show (once they are stored on your PS3)

    I put a few favourite CDs onto my PS3 and its amazing what a slideshow on a decent TV with a soundtrack is like. Beats handing around a camera anyday.

    Edit: I think photogallery is an option on the XMB - no need to go looking on PS store.
