Favourite racing rivalry

I was discussing this with someone yesterday and it got me thinking.Lots of great rivalries and contests between horses over the years, what's yours?
I think Kauto and Denman have been fantastic,my favourite when Denman won the 08 Gold Cup.
However, been a flat man myself,my favourite is the races we saw between Henrythenavigator,Raven's Pass and New Approach in 08.
Seeing 3 colts of that calibre in the same year was an honour. New Approach was a fantastic 2 year old, winning the Dewhurst and National stakes, leading him to be 11/8 for the English Guineas. Gets beaten a nose by Henrythenavigator, with Raven's Pass back in forth.
Henry was by no means a superstar at 2,but was second in the Phoenix Stakes, and couldnt get close to New Approach in the National.
Henry then confirms the form 2 weeks later in the Irish Guineas. I remember that like it was yesterday, noone could call it,but New Approach still went off 11/10 fav. I remember the commentator saying as Henry came to the line 'there's going to be more than a nose in it this time',they weren't to meet again.
Then Henry started facing Raven's Pass.Beats him in the St James stakes at Ascots and then in the Sussex, both finishing in the first two.
Ravens Pass then beats him in the QE11 before the pair lead a one two finish at the Breeders Cup classic, with Ravens pass coming out on top for only the second time.
Just to highlight how good that form is,New Approach went on to win the Champion Stakes that same season by 6 lenghts, with Twice Over finishing second, who has won the group 1 for the last two years in a row.

    Opinions?

Don't forget Macs Joy! Great little horse.

I'm with Richie though you'd find it hard to better Moscow, Azertyuiop and Well Chief in recent years. At least it wasn't a once a year job with that 'rivalry'.

I just about remember them, but Kings Lake and Tou Agori Mou had a great rivalry back in 1981. They competed against each other in the Irish and English 2000 Guineas, the St James Palace Stakes and the Sussex Stakes, and on each occasion a photo-finish was called.

Another one, but purely on the basis of one race, was Ouija Board and Alexander Goldrun at Goodwood.

My favourite racing rivalry was that of Hardy Eustace, Brave Inca , Harchibald (and as some one said earlier you can't leave out Macs Joy). Brilliant races over the years. Harchibald broke my heart in that Champion.

I had a (at the time I was a student) decent wager at 13/2 on Hardy.......I was mentally throwing the docket away when they jumped the last.
