Just wondering if anybody has any experience with these tractors? What do ye think of them, positives/negs?

Thinking of purchasing a 08. Do you think some models are better than others?

    Thanks in advance.

seem like a nice tractor, being in the 6030 and very impressed but tink the 6010 is four cylinder like 5050 model!! once it is price well and has been serviced there should be no problem!!

We have an 08 one from new

We are keen although it does have some negatives. It really lacks power when pulling trailers etc at speed. It is fine in lower speeds where it does act like it is 100hp, but at higher speeds it's not great. We use it on a 20 foot cattle trailer and 2000 gallon vacuum tanker and hills kill it at high speeds

Great tractor on the front loader, excellent visibility, great turning circle and very manoverable

Few niggly problems in the 3 years - battery cable burnt itself out, hydraulics didn't work 1 day (dealer fixed it in 5 mins) and bloody exhaust has broken. This is the only thing that will cost us money and to be fair to new holland they will meet half the cost of new exhaust.

Overall a good tractor for a dairy and cattle farmer, not great for doing lots of haulage on road, great on loader. If we were going again we'd go for the 6020 just for the extra 15 ponies

    Thanks for the replies guys.
If you were choosing between the T6000 and T5000 series, which would you choose and should there be much of a price difference - Same year 2008?

depends on what your needs are, a small compact tractor for the yard i would go for 5050, but if you needed the small bit more weight ie for a plough or power harrow i would go for 6010!! does if have to be a new holland???

Well we currently have a massey Ferg. Looking for the best tractor that gives the least problems for yard work, transporting cattle and mowing etc.

Thanks for yer replies as they are of great help to us. :)
