    Hey guys,

I know this has probably been asked 1,000,000 and 1 times but Im in the process of getting a dish (sky style) from adverts and was wondering what would be a good value box to go with it?

As the dish will be feeding multiple boxes, value for money is kind of important cos i will have to get a few of them.

    Appreciate any advice!

I'd say Freesat HD at a minimum.

    Probably about €100 to €125.

(Standard definition) Fressat SD probably cost around €60. There may be better prices out there.

Don't go for a generic "free to air" receiver. They're not great. No 7 day guide, no auto tune of new/moved channels etc etc.

    Thanks!

For the freesat HD do you need to have two cables like a skyHD box or is one enough?

One is enough, you only need 2 where you have record facility, ie. freesat HD+ or sky+

I have the Sagem HD box and I'm very pleased with it. Easy to set up, just pick a postcode from whatever region of the UK you prefer. The only drawback really is the scarcity of HD channels on Freesat.
