AGS cars on M6

Saw 2 of them on the M6 East bound yesterday. They were perched on two consecutive special Garda monitoring spots. Didn't have traffic corps markings from what I could see. That's the first time I've seen a marked car in one of those spots.

They were both empty. (Or the occupant was asleep in the back ;-)

Fair enough, speeding vehicles slowed down until they realised the cars were empty, but what's the point of that on a straight piece of motorway?

Bit ridiculous imo. Might as well stick with the cardboard cut outs for what they're worth.

They did that before christmas last year as well, left a Traffic Corps Land cruiser there for days on end parked up.

... you can get a fair sized mattress in the back of a cruiser ;-)

and the chances of a Land Cruiser catching a speeding car are zero!
