Im in a similar situation, damaged my knee in september. Everything is fine until i start jogging and after about 3 kms the continious pounding makes me stop running. Is an impact inury as i was hit on the outside od the knee at the time. Im thinking i might have a bone broken on the outside of my knee and reluctant to go to the physio to tell me what i already know. There is definately something broke so dont want to waste 50 quid on the physio telling me the same and sending me for xray. The only problem is that it has not healed in 4 months. Even if i broke a bone it should be healed by now. It does not help that the knee is the most complicated joint in the body either i suppose.

Off to a physio or doctor. We can't advise you over the internet. Best of luck.
