Hi, I'm posting on behalf of my better half. She is renewing her driving license and wants to change her name to her married name. For this she needs to send off our original copy of our marriage cert. I assume that this will be sent back along with the license? Thanks

I'm posting on behalf of my better half. She is renewing her driving license and wants to change her name to her married name. For this she needs to send off our original copy of our marriage cert. I assume that this will be sent back along with the license?

It was when my wife did it a couple of years ago, so shouldn't be a problem.

My wife just did her license and Passport... all came back no problem.

(question is why she waited 7 years as we got married in 2003.... )

If it gets lost in the post, you can always get a copy from the GRO for a tenner anyway, so I wouldn't be overly concerned. I got two official copies for exactly this reason.
