Jesus Christ, Saipan was nine years ago, even Mck and Roy have moved on.

Time for half the country to do same, by sounds of it.

Your right the English would never forgive Mick McCarthy for playing for and managing Ireland.

Walking out on his country is one part of it yes, trying to end players careers is probably another, ill probably get banned if i list other reasons

Maybe he'll learn not to sign craploads of Irish players at his next club.

    He's gone lads:

I'll always be greatful to him for what he did at Sunderland. It's unfortunate it hasn't worked out at Ipswich for him.

He was at the Arsenal-City game last night presumably to scout Arsenal ahead of the Carling Cup so if he has left I presume he has been pushed rather than walked.

Didn't see him lasting much longer anyway, wasn't really working at Ipswich and from what I have read he is still falling out with players left right and center. The bloke just has far too high standards for that type of level. Not that I think he would do much better higher up..

Did he write a book about it and say he went out intentionally to hurt another player.

This 'career ending' stuff is the lie that won't go away.

There are enough genuine reasons to have a go at Keane without resorting to myths or bizarre accusations of 'walking out on his country'.

Sacked! Pity as he was doing a stellar job at that club.

He was only telling the truth, plenty players go out to hurt other players.

    Spare me the BS

Idiots who continually bang on about him trying to "end a players career" are either too thick to know (despite being told many times id wager) how wrong the statement is or are too thick to care.

Not too much difference either way

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,528 ✭✭✭✭dsmythy

Peterborough for him next perhaps. Keeps slipping down the leagues :D

Plenty people down in Cork hate the site of Keane.

I actually have as much time for Mick as I do Roy.It was just clash of personailty and one wanted something different to the other.

You need to move on like rest of them.

Can't say I ever really liked him. Great player, but the only good thing he's done as a manager was getting Sunderland promoted. I was actually happy enough to see him doing well at the time, but it's been downhill ever since.
