    Hi All,

I have a standard wall construction comprising of 100mm standard block with a 150 mm cavity with 100mm kingspan insulation in it and 100mm standard block to finish, i would like to use an insulated slab board on the face of the internal walls, i have heard that this board can't be bigger than half the size of the insulation in the cavity??. What would be best pratice when installing these types of boards, i was hoping to just use the 12 steel mushrooms per board to fix them to the wall, would this be good enough or should i use a glue as well or a different method.

Anyone use these types of insulated boards on nthe ceiling or are bthey an overkill??.

As always all or any advice will be greatly appreciated.

We have the same construction in our house, but we cannot afford to do internal slabbing on the walls. I would definitely recommend using insulated slab on the ceilings of any rooms adjoining external roof construction (i.e. upstairs if you have it), though.
