Best Time To Book Flights

I'm travelling to New York in June and was wondering when is the best time to book flights. I've being checking the Aer Lingus, Delta and Continental websites since early December comparing prices and Aer Lingus are the cheapest. They are having a 75th Birthday sale at the moment, but instead of the prices coming down they have gone up. Just before Christmas with Aer Lingus it was working out at €525 return including all extra charges per person, now in there sale the price is just over €575 per person. Should I go ahead and book the flights now or should I wait to see if they have a better sale in the coming months. Anyone know if they have better sales nearing the summer months?

    Cheer's. J

No one knows. Airlines use complex modelling to decide what seats to sell at what price and when in order to maximise the revenue they take in.

The only tip is to buy when you see a price you're happy with, under the assumption that the only way the fare will go afterwards is up.
