    Hi all,

Wanna get a Wildfire but it seems to be completely out of stock on the island of Eire , in the shops and online. I'm gonna go with Meteor and I'm just wondering is there another, updated version of it due to come out and maybe they're just stalling on the stock updates? I presume the ''new'' stock will come with the Froyo update but I'm just wondering if anyone knows anything about another budget handset from HTC with the same specs?

P.s I have googled and c-net'ed and tech radared and I'm really just being nosy for some inside scoop. Or maybe I'm just bored.

I know but who the hell wants the white one? And there are other colours in the range like black and graphite- why the hell are we limited to brown? Makes no sense.

This is not a new problem. I got my wildfire around 6 weeks ago from meteor and they only had a white one in stock. I didn't mind white so went ahead with the purchase. Why do people care so much about the colour. It is the same phone in the inside.
Just get a white one and buy a black cover like me ;)

Well, I take your point but despite the fact that it's a ''budget'' phone, it's not cheap. The very least I expect for my hard-earned sheckles is that they have the model I want.

Anyway, no one knows anything about another mid-range model like the Wildfire coming out?

Just spoke to Meteor in Cork. They have wildfires in stock but for bill pay. Asked if the brown would soon become available online and the guy said the white one is the only one available for pay as you go.

Spoke to another store and they have a white one for pay as you go. She said they get brown ones in from time to time but mostly they get the white ones. Id say ring around to the different stores and see whats available. I think im just going to go for the white one, I think it looks fine.

Car phone warehouse have brown ones in stock for 250 with 3. They have none in stock for meteor at the price of 199.
