    There seems to be plenty of work out there anyway. It's tough work though. If you have any back problems forget about it.

    its supposed to be hard on the back if your anyway tall, seeing as you spend so much time bent over, but to me its the only job worth doing. im approaching 6 foot, and im gonna take it up as soon as ive left school

    yeah im not exactly small but ive been trimming few already and no problem so far. my uncle is 6ft 3 and he has no problem so hopefully il be the same have you secured an apprenticeship

    A good farrier will always be in demand. However, getting paid (especially nowadays) can prove troublesome, especially if you don't get paid on the day.

    Another good thing about the trade is that you can get work all over the world with it. I knew lads who went to Australia, Dubai and the USA and got work.

    ya thats the big upside to it for me.
    im hopefully heading stateside once im qualified as a master farrier, as i hear the going rate for a set of shoes over there is the equivalent to four sets here.
