I only use the default calendar app on the iphone but Id like to maybe use something which I could sync with a calendar from my pc. Does anyone know which app I should look into for this feature?

Do you use gmail or mobileme?

You can sync the iphone and the desktop to either of their calendar services fairly easily and changes on the phone or server will automatically get pushed in either direction, this means you don't have to remember to sync.

I have a gmail account but never use it tbh. Id rather have some sort of desktop calendar that I can enter info on and then sync to some iphone calendar app....can this be done?

I have the following setup which works pretty well:

    1. I use google calendar on my iphone
    2. I also need to sync my main Outlook calendar (as it's my work one) to my iphone, so I use 'Google Calendar Sync' to keep these 2 in sync.

So any updates I make on my iPhone get synced to my Outlook calendar and vice versa. I never really access Google Calendar directly on my PC.

    Hope this helps

You could sync your desktop calendar to your google account and then sync that to your phone. Your phone can connect to the google calendar using exchange, easy enough to setup. Once that is setup then your phone will automatically keep up to date with your google calendar, any event added/updated to your calendar on your iphone will automatically get sent to the google calendar and vice versa.

What desktop calendar do you use? You would then set that up to also sync with the google calendar. So any time you add something on your desktop calendar, then it will get pushed to the google calendar which will then push it to your iphone and vice versa.

You would never need to directly use your google calendar, think of it as a man in the middle.

This option is the best. You are only using Google Calendar as a pass through service. If you want a desktop calendar download google calendar desktop app at pack.google.com
