Hey, anyone know how likely it is to find summer internship programs for business graduates this summer? Am basically looking for a summer job and since I will be technically a graduate at this stage it would be nice to do something that some what relates to my field of study, and that pays a little more than min wage which I would get in a retail job. Careers service told me to keep checking on their website leading up to summer and gradIreland but just wondering if anybody on here knew if summer internships were very hard come by?

    Thanks

Well traditionally business internships were for penultimate year undergraduates in my experiences. That's with the bigger firms anyways. And I wouldn't bet on much (if any) more than minimum wage as even the big firms have cut their wages a lot for interns let alone small ones. Even minimum wage business related job would be better for your cv than a retail one.

    What Celtise said.

Mostly speaking internships can't be filled by graduates. However there are a lot of companies hiring at the moment (depending on your field). Check out their websites.

It's nearly time for the Marine Institute bursaries. Of the 30 positions, about 6/7 of them are more than suitable for your run-of-the-mill business grad (provided its the summer right after your finals).

Sorry what is this exactly? How do you apply?

    Thanks
