Just took the plunge and after a couple of weeks of research decided to take the plunge and order one of the started kit from shaving.ie and opted for the upgrade to the Muhle R89.
    http://www.shaving.ie/products/The-Basic-Essentials-Safety-Razor-Starter-Kit.html

I ordered in kinda a rush and just realised i need a bowl / cup, any recomendations. Would i be better off picking up something like Mitchell's Wool Fat Soap with the dish?

    Cheers

I have the black Muhle mug with the little handle thing. I quite like it as it sits in my hand well while building the lather. If you're really stuck though any reasonable sized bowl or mug would do.

Any small bowl or large mug will do the job, shaving mugs/bowls are a luxury.

    Or your hand!
    Or your face!
I do want a nice mug though...
