I have a ltd company. Lucky to find a month's work abroad..if I work abroad, and and do not pay a salary (on a business back to work scheme), can I pay expenses to myself for subsistence and travel reimbursements - as I am not technically 'employed' by the company...
There is an Directors' Loan to Co for 5k which I could if this is best, or should I just issue a dividend at year end..

    thanks in advance!

Your post is very confusing. I'm assuming the main question you are asking is can you be reimbursed for expenses incurred while traveling abroad?

    A couple of things:-
Firstly, what do you mean by a business back to work scheme?

Secondly, why are you technically not employed by the company? Are you a director (you mentioned directors loan implying you are a director)? Shareholder?

Thirdly, why are you talking about a dividend? To reimburse you?

What Clanket said, plus forget about the idea of issuing a dividend - far too complicated.

    Hi Clanket, smcgiff

    A couple of things:-
Firstly, what do you mean by a business back to work scheme? scheme run by revenue after reviewing business case for my business, small weekly support payments for 6 mth period.

Secondly, why are you technically not employed by the company? Are you a director (you mentioned directors loan implying you are a director)? Shareholder? as part of scheme, issued a p45 to claim the support payments.

Thirdly, why are you talking about a dividend? To reimburse you?
yes, obviously costs while living in UK, guessing I take these as expenses during the period, even though not an employee as such, earning on behalf of Co. Won't use dividend route.

    Thanks
