A four year old base model golf with no dealer comeback. I'd say it was generous.

I'd assume if that car was correct it would be on a dealers forecourt not in an auction. I'd get it well checked out first.

What does grade 3 mean in this case.

If its got a service history and is in good condition then I don't see what the issue would be as long as you don't pay silly money.

    8k tops.

    Reasons:
4 years old; crap (really crap) 1.4 engine ; boggo spec with zero toys.

You can buy a lot better, best avoid that golf

Musicman there are plenty of car`s, but probably only one lump of your dosh ...
Yep that`s what i said YOUR dosh........so waste a few euro and go to the auctions (you have to pay in) 4 or 5 times before you even think of spending it get in there watch learn and then study the T & C`s.
You always walk away thinking you misssed a bargain...ALWAYS!
Even when you buy something .

I'd say it got a tip, could be minor or major but it needs to be checked out all the same. If it was minor it would be in a forecourt so it's not fit for retail. It's not grade 3 because of finance.

It's road tax expired at the end of October so it's either been sitting in a yard through the cold spell since then, driving around illegally with no tax or perhaps has had repairs done or was perhaps a reposessed car, all would lead me to believe that the previous owner didn't treat it exactly the best.

Could also be someone desperate to sell and can't afford it so they are trying to offload after failing to sell privately.
