    also,

are the thunder b grenades really that great?
i mean, first time they are meant to be excellent , but when reused they come with a tonne of problems from delayed explosion to not exploding at all

    would they be worth getting?

and should i get a thunder b grenade or a spare pistol mag for my we 3.8

    thanks,
    Jamez735

Gas and CO2 mags are not usually interchangeable in a pistol.

It is usually one or the other but there are exceptions. I think the new M9 i= uses both.

More knowledgable brains will be along shortly or you could ring MIA and ask them.

As said already, the reviews say it can take CO2. However, you would have to get the clip that accepts the CO2 cartridges. Also, make sure the plastic part at the back of the slide inside (can't remember the proper name for it) is red. This means it's reinforced in order to cope with the power of CO2.

I would say that 90%+ of the problems people have with Thunder-Bs is getting a good seal on the neck of the plastic shell. If it is giving you trouble use some plumbers tape on the threads.

WE Baby Cappa can take CO2 mags, but it all depends on the model. Some of them can, some of them can not. There are a few different versions, and I can't remember them off hand. Your best bet is to give MIA, or SG Airsoft (I think they have the Baby Cappa instock too) a call and see if they know.

Pistols that are designed for the higher pressures of CO2, can usually take Green Gas with no real problems...except that it's lower pressured. KJ Works design pistols that can use both green gas mags, and CO2 mags, but just make sure you get the right one as they also still sell guns that are green gas only.

As someone already mentioned, you will need to buy a different magazine to use CO2. In Airsoft you use .12g CO2 bulbs (disposable; not reusable), which are the gas reservoir for the mag, whereas the Green Gas mags have their own dedicated reservoir, which is incapable of holding CO2. Not to mention that Green Gas is stored as a liquid, whereas CO2 is stored as Gas...if I remember correctly; I'm sure Dex or someone can correct me on that where necessary :)

well here is teh mag for it
    http://shop.ehobbyasia.com/we-31rd-co2-magazine-for-hi-capa-series-gbb.html

but to answer your question in one word
    no.
it will not take Co2, i have the black version of that pistol, great little pistol but it's not designed to take the Co2. if you look on ehobbyasia.com you will find it says it can take Co2 but that's the type8 model, so if you're looking for it too take Co2 try source the type 8 version. I asked Steve from Seairsoft if it could when i got mine and i found the Co2 mag, he said he wouldn't risk it. in reality yes you could stick a co2 mag in it and it may very well work but expect high wear from parts and if you're unlucky the slide migth fly off
    hope it helps mate

thanks guys, so i can just use green gas right?

oh and this might sound stupid but, im presuming i use normal 0.20 bbs or do i need lighter ones becoz its a pistol?

yup green, just don't pull the trigger to fast as it wears the valves down, time your shots in between cycles and it'll be fine, and yup any BB weight will do bar .12's as it might push it over the limit

Not true. If it's over the limit with .12's, then it's over the limit with .2's. The limit is 1j of energy, not 328 fps. 328 fps with 0.2g BBs is what 1j equates to. The FPS is higher for lighter ones, and lower for heavier ones.

@James: Ask MIA or SG Airsoft what version it is they're stocking, and if it's the system 7 (aka model 7), then it can take a CO2 mag. However the CO2 mag will boost FPS to over the limit, so you'd need to replace the magazine's valves to reduce gas flow until it's legal - similar to the way a NPAS kit works. Rough translation; for the benefit of CO2, there's a lot of work involved.

Yes, but they're lighter, meaning they can travel faster and still only have 1 joule of energy.

well yes that's true. final point: Co2 will not work unless it's a model 8 :P
