Pray tell Why do people write Edit in their post before they submit it. I know you can Ninja Edit but it just seems like people are typing Edit as part of the sentence?

I do it to point out what I added in the edit.

I usually only do it when the "last edited at 11.03" line appears.

EDIT: like this innit.

i did not write it in my initail post.
i wrote it because i thought it would say "edited by" at the bottom and wanted to show the reason.
i am so so so so so so sorry.

Usually in cases where you suddenly find or think of information relevant to the post after the edit window has expired, for example, if you can't remember a video or the name of a song, then it occurs to you or you find it soon afterwards.
