    Hi all,

During the snowy time, I used my wipers without clearing off all the snow/ice properly. Now when I switch my wipers on, they do a half or 3/4 cycle and finish with the wipers not in the fully down position (sometimes nearly fully up)

Does this sound familiar to anyone and how would you go about fixing?

    thanks

you could have damaged the linkage mechanism or stripped the splines on the bottom of the arms

I'd say you've slipped a spline or two on the spindle.

Let the wipers come to rest, turn the ignition off and then loosen the nut holding them to the splined spindle and reposition the offending wiper and retighten.

Hopefully that will sort it for you.

Its possible the 'Park' is out of alignment and they can be very tricky to reset. Each motor has a park setting and it gets interupted with the weight of the snow on the wipers. Your probably best just to take it to your mechanic, A wiper linkage really isn't a DIY kinda thing trust me.
