canon eos software

    So I finally got my 550d for xmas:D

    However the bundled eos utility software has stopped working (vista:rolleyes:). It did actually work so I uninstalled and reloaded to no avail, and cannot see much help on the web.
    I'm just wondering do many people out there have issues like this with canon software, and while I really like it, the camera, I have to say their manuals (especially for video) are only really average.

    Chances are you'll soon grow out of the software as it isn't very good. I only use it for tethered shooting and I rarely do that!

    Saying that I don't think it ever crashes on me but chances are that's a vista issue, I used it on 7 and XP ( OSX too for the record ) and don't recall it crashing.

    I only find it can be slow to start on XP (I use it to take the photos off my 400D because my card reader is funked.)
