Can someone tell me who id responsible for the portable road signs that popped up along our roads and why they don't bother to take them down once the issue is resolved ?

I remember some years back I was flashed by a car because I overtook them while passing a "Danger Black Ice" sign. It was July !

Recently I notice on the M6 - signs warning of Snow and Ice on the "Fast lane". 1 its not the "Fast Lane" and 2 it was 11 degrees outside !

If people see signs as crying wolf all the time - they become as good as useless !

Reminds me of the signs claiming the Sally Gap in Wicklow is impassable that stay there long after the last snowflake has melted.

i'd imagine the local council would be the best people to contact.

I also like the "road layout altered" 6 years later. I did mention it to the council a couple of years ago and they said the contractor would be contacted to remove their sign.

Sign at the Horse & Jockey saying "Welcome to the shannon region". This sign is to the east of the suir river.
