Never actually changed any bearings but if its only happening every so often it might be pump on the way out. Sometimes a bit of WD40 into the pump can work. Check if fan will spin freely by hand (isolate first), if not its probably pump or bearing. WD40 will buy you some time at least until weather warms up so you can dismantle burner at your leisure and check bearing. I'm fairly sure its not a big deal to change anyway.

12 years old.... it owes you nothing.:D

taking something that old apart may do more harm than good.

Labour plus spare parts/costs of bearings etc. may not be worth paying out... chances are some other component could go faulty.

Let it ride its course and replace it when and if it fails.... buy a burner and have it ready just in case...
The burner will probably fail the coldest weekend on history when all shops are closed and you can't get a replacement:rolleyes:.;).
